It’s a green thing: This coming up St. Patrick’s day weekend, the Valley is going green. On Saturday the Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce presents Saint Paddy’s on the river from the West Point River Park next to the City Hall and the old West Point Police Station. According to GVACC Executive Director Ashley Crane, the event will kick off at 2pm EST. Crane say’s, ” Saint Paddy’s on the river will have something for everyone”. Crane added, “It will be family friendly and we believe that everyone will have fun as we celebrate St .Patrick’s day on the river”. The day will begin with inflatables, games , face painting and afterwards live music featuring Blaine Rudd, and Tim Duggar. A very affordable event, $10 all day wristbands, 2 and under get in free. Another thing the GVACC is including is crafts. Crane say’s, “The West Point River Park is such a big area, we wanted to showcase our local vendors including crafts so that everyone can enjoy”. Saint Paddy’s on the river on St. Patrick’s day from 2pm EST till 11pm EST. in West Point.
